Caro Patisserie

Lovely little shop that caught our attention! We bought the Lemon Meringue tart and the Mixed Berries tart to taste. For the Lemon Meringue tart: the cookie-like pastry base is done to perfection, with good thickness, texture/crunch, taste and colour. It breaks off without crumbling, unlike some others that are too brittle and fall apart easily. The lemon curd is smooth and balances sweet and sour deliciously, with just the right amount of tart/tang. Not overpowering. The meringue is whipped to the right consistency – lusciously airy, yet 'full', without being overly sweet. I'm saving the Mixed Berries tart for later! Caro, thanks for bringing a delicious bit of France to Singapore. We used to buy our tarts from another patisserie, which does good tarts too. But as they grew in popularity, the service became appalling and orders took a week to be fulfilled. Service matters. We hope your wonderful service remains consistent as your popularity grows. Caro Patisserie is our go-to now for tarts!

First time trying this store based on the good reviews here. Ordered a 20cm hazelnut praline tart for a birthday celebration and it was just nice for 10 of us to have a small slice each. Everyone liked it a lot. Will be back for sure -- we have already discussed what other flavours to try for the next birthday celebrations!

Such a gem, found in a quiet neighborhood. The tarts are amazingly delish. We bought a 20cm mixed berries tart previously, and it was devoured within mins. Back to try other flavors, though it was a hot afternoon, it’s just as good and coffee was nice too!

Saw their ads on instagram and decided to patronize the place. It is a small shop with limited sitting outside the cafe. Tarts were good especially the mango one which is balanced. The chocolate with salted caramel can be over-powering. The tart base can be quite tough to cut. Owner said she baked it fresh daily so you will not have tarts that are overnight. Best to order before 12pm if you want to get the bigger sized tarts on that day itself. Overall excellent new place worth visiting.

Just discovered this new place along a row of shophouses and decided to give the mango tart a try. Visually, very appealing! Taste is also quite good but crust was a bit hard to tackle unless you used a metal fork. If it wasn’t so expensive ($8.80) I would have given it a 5 star rating!
