Choices Restaurant

We went for the breakfast Buffet. There were Asian, Indian, American, European cuisine. There were also cheeses, fruits and breads. I wasn't impressed with the taste of the Indian and Asian food they served. All tasted bland. They didn't make crepes (sadly) but had waffles and pancakes. I ordered eggs Benedict which was average tasting. Overall, most of the food tasted average and bland. Service was not too efficient and pretty slow. Needs room for improvement for service. Great ambiance, serene and classy. The food is okay, I enjoyed the pasta and the grilled lamb. Sashimi is good, sushi were so-so. I enjoyed the meringue. Staff are friendly. I used my entertainer app B1G1 on buffet, so it was kinda worth it.

So we decided to celebrate our anniversary at The choices by Hyatt Regency Oryx near the old airport, Doha. We had read some amazing reviews on Google and trip advisor. We had buy one get one offer on Entertainer / Mybook. This was a good deal as the Weekend Friday International BBQ night buffet is priced at QAR 220 so getting two dine ins at this price was absolutely worth it. Ambience was spot on with very open and cozy space, Aesthatics are really nice as the lighting is dim at places and bright at other places making it very romantic and peaceful place. The seating is also strategically placed for easy access to food stalls. Talking of food stalls, they are categorized into main courses, sides, beverages and desserts . They have live cooking stations for pizzas and baked goodies, pasta station is also impressive , I liked the way they have placed all condiments in a decorative style. Apart from this there was the live grill with lamb, chicken and seafood items, a heaven for meatlovers. Now let's talk about the food taste and variety. The food was very high quality and the taste was so good. They had a wide range of food items from Indian to Mediterranean, from Asian to continental. I was amazed by the salad bar and appetizers range, it was enormous. The fresh juices were made to order and were absolutely perfect with no artificial additives, pure fresh juices. As I have a sweet tooth, I was waiting to try the desserts, they had everything, from cakes to pastries, from Arabic sweets to French tarts. Finally let's talk about the staff, they were super friendly and attentive, passionate and understood customer needs very well. The manager Sujith was so attentive that infact he was walking to all customers and asking if they needed anything more, this is customer service truly beyond expectations. They brought us a special cake for our anniversary, this was unexpected and pleasantly surprising for us. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone who is reading this review, you will thank me after you try. It is total value for money. Do check them out. Next, I would try their breakfast buffet which I have read is amongst the best in Doha. Surely look forward to have it and share my reviews soon. It was BBq night buffet, there are other choices to choose from, only the pasta section is minus point, my daughter ordered with white sauce and its not creamy and tasteless, but overall other food are great and we enjoyed! The staff are kind and great and they were great singers as well, ive got the chance to take home my complimentary bday cake
