Enjoy authentic Chaoshan cuisine at Daniu Teochew Seafood Restaurant 大牛潮汕海鲜 located at Kampong Bahru! Be delighted with only the freshest catch including wild caught and uncommon ones sourced from their suppliers daily which you can choose from their open-fridge. The friendly staff will also give their recommendation of cooking methods to enjoy these at its best. We enjoyed a spread of delectable Teochew dishes: 🐄牛肉丸汤: Signature handmade beef balls are made from scratch. The bouncy, chunky and flavourful meatballs are really enjoyable with the clear soup which bursts with natural sweetness. 🦆潮州卤鹅: Signature Teochew braised goose is braised for hours using their secret recipe of herbs & spices. Be rewarded with tender and flavourful goose with every bite. 🍳豆腐鱼烙: Tofu Fish Omelette had the perfect crisp on the outside and packed with smooth & tender tofu fish with a slight starchy texture which resemble our Fried oyster omelette. Super unique and best paired with their special sauce! 🦞蒜炒龙虾: Infused with robust garlic flavours and wokhei, the meaty lobster with eggs is really enjoyable. So fresh! 🐟潮洲蒸鱼: Wild caught fish specially sourced from supplier and only delivered in the morning of our visit. Meat was silky smooth, tender and burst with natural sweetness. 🎣干煎小鲳鱼: Super tasty with its toppings of fried shallots and chilli bits which further elevated the overall taste. Meat was really tender & juicy. Simple dish yet so well executed. 🍠反沙芋头酥: Deepfried yam fingers to perfect crisp on the outside and coated with a layer of sugar which gives the perfect crunch and bursts with goodness with every bite. We enjoyed all the dishes which were exceptionally well executed and definitely different from the usual zichar. Freshness of ingredients with utmost skills left us with a memorable dining experience here. I am sure your seniors will be especially impressed with their Teochew Seafood here. Private rooms are also available for exclusive dining experience.

My visit here was such a mind blowing one, and definitely the best chinese meal I’ve had in 2023! The must get is the tofu fish omelette which I don’t think you can find elsewhere in Singapore. THAT SILKY TOFU FISH omg… tasted like cod fish and the amount of fish is literally almost the entire omelette 👌 super underrated restaurant which I’ll totally recommend to everyone to come try!

I am 100% Teochew and my grand parents are both from Swatow. Legit place with mainly regular customers. $380 nett for 4 pax dinner (no alcohol) . All dishes are tasty with the sole exception of the pre-order Bamboo shoot duck.. Overall flavours tasted weird to our taste buds - and duck was very dry.... Outstanding dishes that I would come back for again are : - Goose meat - very subtle unique taste! - Beef balls - superb flavour! - Garlic steamed squid - superb gravy! - Orh Nee - interesting orange color with plenty of crunchy water chestnut

Oriental setting with traditional teochew dishes, marinated fresh crab and prawns ate great! The rest are ok like Oyster, beef ball soup and prawns. Will visit again.

I guess the only outstanding dish is the beef meat ball soup. Yam paste is too oily ( they pour too much shallot oil onto it). The fried yam stick is overly coated with sugar, hence it overly sweet. Braised duck is very hawker style. Yes, hear no wrong. No special. Claypot fish is alright, but i will expect it to be done properly ( fillet and fried the fish before braised will be better). Be prepared to wait for longer time (at least 40mins) during dine in as their kitchen is really small. And they had so many things sold out before even dinner, make me wonder if they really hav such dishes?
