Good vibe, very friendly traders. Found a good pan-fried beef burrito and had a good cup of cafe mocha.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere to dine out under the stars ( if you go later. Food was great. Such a variety from Indian to Chinese. Safe with ample parking.

To celebrate my birthday I decided to invite a large group of family and friends to enjoy an evening at EFM. My wife and 1 year nephew were walking around when he wanted to go on the jumping castle. This was around 5pm and there wasn't a single child in the "kiddies area". My wife then proceeded to put my nephew on the jumping castle and sit on the opening by the stairs as my nephew was hesitant. She was then confronted by a woman who said that my wife may not sit on the jumping castle as the owner doesn't allow it. My wife apologised then her and my nephew came back to the table. 15mins later we noticed 2 adults on the jumping castle along with their little child. We then went to ask why they were allowed and my wife wasn't. (at this stage we discovered the ladies name to be Lucia.) She snapped at my wife saying that the family had paid to be on the jumping castle. My wife then asked why didn't she say that in the beginning instead of lying about the owner not allowing it. When the other family overheard how rude she was they asked what was going on. my wife proceeded to explain to the family who asked when Lucia snapped at my wife again saying that she must address her directly as this is her business. Firstly we were not aware of any payment required as they have such tiny signage (see attached pictures) secondly how can a market which claims to be a family friendly venue expect families to pay to play on a jumping castle? Does the spur charge you to let your kid in the play section? Then to still want to charge R50 for an hour for a 1 year old to spend 10mins on a jumping castle and lose interest. To say this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth is putting it nicely. I highly doubt we will ever go back after being treated so poorly and disrespectfully by someone associated with EFM.

Very enjoyable market. Took my 2 year old with me, and there's a kiddies friendly area. It has a live band, food and clothing stalls. Overall great experience. Dogs are not allowed though...
