If you're seeking a dimly lit pub where you can escape from the world, this little place is worth considering. However, I found some aspects of my visit to be less than satisfying.
Let's start with the positives. The atmosphere of this pub is perfect for those looking to find a cozy corner to hide in. It exudes a dark and intimate ambiance that lends itself well to a relaxing time. For those interested in alcoholic beverages, this establishment seems to excel in that department. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for their iced coffee, which was rather disappointing. I would advise against ordering anything other than alcohol here.
The food turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The bar food offerings were satisfying and served as the perfect accompaniment to a few rounds of beers. However, my experience was marred by an issue with the food service. My date and I received our meals separately, and I had to wait a good 15 minutes before my pizza arrived. The lack of coordination in delivering our orders was unfortunate and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable evening.
Furthermore, I felt that the staff could benefit from better training. Improved knowledge and attentiveness from the staff would undoubtedly enhance the overall experience for customers.
In conclusion, this pub has its merits as a cozy hideaway for those seeking a dark and atmospheric setting. The food, albeit delayed, exceeded expectations and complemented the pub experience. However, the subpar iced coffee, inconsistent food service, and less-than-adequate staff knowledge prevent me from giving a higher rating.
While it may not be a bad place overall, I would suggest focusing on the drinks and ambiance and perhaps seeking alternative dining options elsewhere. Ultimately, if you're looking to let loose and enjoy a night of revelry, this pub wluld be a suitable choice.
