An awesome property in the heart of Doha. Great friendly staff and 10/10 for the cleanliness. A nice place to stay with children. The children pool is nicely designed suitable for all ages from 6months onwards. More
We stayed there for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The breakfast (SMBC), dinner (Noodles night at Isaan), music & ambience at Old Monkeys tale were all amazing. As we were staying at a suite, we got access to the Hyatt lounge, where we were nicely greeted and served by Mr. Zubair. The beach and pool were good as well. The only downside was that pool was not temperature controlled. Overall, a wonderful stay.More
Had a fantastic time with my husband and 2 children. We felt like we had a real vacation. Best staycation in Qatar ever. Wonderful suite, view, food, pools, beach and staff. Hotel staff made you feel welcome and were very helpful. More
It was really disappointing and totally frustrated. I booked for my birthday celeb as a family (5 adults) for 2 rooms and specifically requested if they have triple room or can accommodate 3 adults for in one room for an additional fee of-course and I was told yes it's allowed. I was even advised you can't take a twin room because there is no room for the extra bed. But then I called to confirm my booking a day before the check in date i was now told by someone name Tahir that it was never allowed. There is no such thing in their hotel as triple room. I kept insisted that it was confirmed to me that they have. I even advised him to check with him the guy who booked by reservation. He said we have no record. So i asked can I speak to your manager. He told me "No, you can talk to me only". Really.....seriously with a 5 star hotel like that no record of who's handling the booking. It will be too late for me to cancel as i have promised my family for this staycation. But i have no choice since it will be cost extra QR450 for just the extra adult as i was advised to get the 3rd room. Good thing, I called Hilton Doha so accommodating and explained to me very well the policy of the 3 occupants in a room with an additional fee. In short, we checked in at Hilton Doha for 2 rooms and never had regretsMore
After some research and deliberation, we settled on the Grand Hyatt for our October (keep sane) staycation. Everything looked good online and having not frequented the hotel much in our 6yrs in Qatar, the gamble certainly paid off! From arrival to check-out, not only were our expectations exceeded, the staff were friendly and attentive at every turn! Where other hotels, you can feel the difference since COVID-19, either in staff moral or simply lack there of, the GH managed to provide simple and efficient, but elegant service at every turn. We had an exec suit on the ground floor, which was perfect with three children and allowed quick access to the beach, pool and Santa Monica Breakfast Club (SMBC). The room was well appointed and about the only criticism being, the sockets don’t seem to be enough for all the hairdryers having three daughters and a wife requires! SMBC is a lovely restaurant and the family certainly made the most of it! The pool if not slightly on the cold side, is well designed with lots of twists and turns to provide privacy even in a busy environment. We bounced between the beach and the pool during the day time and enjoyed the relaxing environment of the club lounge in the evening. After a busy day on the beach, the kids were happy to relax, whilst the grown ups had a nightcap or two! We enjoyed this stay so much, we have noted down the room number, so we can try and replicate, what was a weekend of pleasure, in what has been a challenging year! Highly recommended. More
