If you are one of those people who find it hard to plan a Maldives vacation because every single resort sounds too cheesy, LUX is for you. It’s probably one of the few really not cheesy resorts in the island country - and that really helps! My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary here and we couldn’t have chose better. Gorgeous property, brilliant F&B, gorgeous, minimalistic rooms - Lux has it all figured out! We found a staff waiting for us just as we stepped out of the airport. He along with his teammates at various spots helped us with all the steps to be followed to eventually get to the property - the local flight, a bus, and a speed boat. It was a stormy night when we landed at Lux and the instant warmth (and coolth) of the staff, the welcome drinks, and the property had us at hello. My husband and I spent a gorgeous all-inclusive 4 days at the resort and everything - from the room to the buggy service, the food to the drinks, the beach to everything they had to offer there - were close to perfect. We tried all of their restaurants and if I had to recommend any, I’d say East Market/ Bar and Senses. Simply for the views and the food. Do a lunch at Senses if you can - nothing quite like the fresh, modern desi small eats they offer for lunch. But what really helps Lux score a perfect 10 is that it is nothing like what a typical Maldivian vacation promises. It’s not cheesy and at the same time, it offers everything you’d expect from a Maldivian vacation - complete ease and luxury. Our return journey was booked on a seaplane and the AI flight back to Bangalore. Lux managed it all seamlessly - and ending a luxurious vacation seamlessly is perhaps one of the best things about Lux. Go for an all-inclusive plan if you plan to stay anywhere upwards of 3 days. المنتجع رائع جداً ، بكل تفاصيله منذ الوصول الى الوداع ، كانت الاقامة بين فيلا شطائية وفيلا على المحيط مع المسبح ، صحيح واجهت بعض الملاحظات ، لكن كانت الادارة ممتازه بالتعامل . كانت الخدمات والمطاعم والانشطة رائعه وكان هناك فعاليات جميله في المنتجع. فعلاً كانت ايام جميلة حجزت في المنتجع حوالي ٩ ايام لم اكن اشعر بالملل فكانت الاقامة قمة بالروعة والجمال ومليئة بالانشطة واود اشكرك الموظف ناصر المميز النشيط حقاً سهل لنا الكثير ورتب لنا الجدول منذ البداية فشكراً جزيلاً لك وشكراً للاخت سارة وللادارة 🌼🌼 وسوف اعود قريباً باذن الله ..🙏🏻😍😘 The resort is very impressive, with all its details since arriving to the farewell, the stay was between a beach villa and a villa on the ocean with the pool, It is true that I encountered some observations, but the management was excellent in dealing. The services, restaurants and activities were great and there were beautiful events at the resort. It was really nice days I booked in the resort about 9 days I was not bored The stay was a summit of splendor, beauty and full of activities I would like to thank you employee Nasser Al-Momayaz, who is active Really easy for us a lot and arranged the schedule for us from the start So thank you very much Thank you, Sister Sarah, and to the management And I will return soon, God willing ..🙏🏻😍😘More
Casual Luxury in paradise, great food, friendly staff and perfect accommodation. Only little downside is the house riff which for experienced divers will not do the trick. However, many dive and snorkel sites can be reached within a 30 minutes boat trip.More
After we have been here in November 2018, also our second trip was more than we ever could have hoped for! Not only did the holiday live up to our expectations, due to the open-heartedness of every single staff member, we have met throughout our stay on the island, we again really felt "home"!! We more than enjoyed the stunning location, nature, service, quality, tastiness of the food, sustained concept, luxury, etc. etc. and again wanted to address a heartfelt and honest Thank You, to everyone making our vacation more than perfectl!! As a returner to this beautiful place, we really enjoyed every second of our stay and as we knew what to expect, it even felt more like a relieve getting back to this small spot of paradise it is! Same as with our last vacation here, I cannot even put it into words, how perfect this vacation was. From the day we arrived, we felt how everyone made an effort to make our vacation just a little better! This is something we have never experienced so far and we never took for granted! Regardless of how stressed out or busy, everyone, from the gardener to the manager, welcomed us with a “good morning”, a small talk about weather or just a little smile, which really stepped it up, from any other vacation we have ever been on! The cusine on the various island restaurants was extraordinary, same goes for the room, the island and the rest of the trip. We have been to many places around the world, eaten many things and talked to a lot of people, but we never we felt so “home” in a foreign place!More
It was the Best of Times; it was the worst of times... Imagine your self on a remote island in Paradise, wishing that you would nver have to return ? Be careful what you wish for... Imagine that you were on that island and could not return ! The day we arrived, all of our flights were cancelled - via India; Britain; USA and even Canada. Shortly thereafter, flights into and out of Maldives were cancelled. So there we were.. a tiny band in Paradise - virtually our own private paradise. outnumbered by staff by at least a 50-1 ratio.(others vacationers had already left) . But, with no assurance of a way home. Even the Staff were told that they had to leave.. Yet , the staff and management despite the obvious stresses were exemplary.. Every tiny detail taken care of - evan a birthday, chocolates and champagne on my Birthday.. So very much more that I would love to tell you about Lux, and how this ended. But Trip Advisor word limits make this problematic. Will send photos or gladly answer questions later or on request. Suffice it to say for now, that if anything, the glowing reviews that you have already read were guilty of understatement. Would we go back Ha. Ha. In a funny way, I wish that we were still there.More
