Who doesn't love eggs benedict served over fresh homemade country bread? Everything, absolutely everything is what I wanted to taste on our first trip to this bakery. Lucky me, we had breakfast here at least 3 times during our week in HK and it was very conveniently located on our way walking to the stadium to watch the HK7s :) Croissants, pain au chocolat, eggs benedit and the BEST coffee! A must!Read more
I think that the place has very good products, for the price of course could do much better.. but I also understand that in a place with almost none competition, as the city of HK, they produce what is "acceptable" and not what is excellent. The interior definitely needs to be refreshed.Read more
Went to this branch today for some takeaway products. Place is doing a roaring trade which shows the power of a little French branding nowadays in HK given that the quality here is distinctly lacking. Of our purchases the croissant was stale, the granola was stale (container not sealed) and the sourdough loaf was verging on stale - like restaurant bread that has been hanging around for a while. The date loaf was ok but at ~HKD 200 in total that worked out quite expensive. I've lived in France and Belgium and this would not cut it at even the most average of boulangeries. Worth noting the bread at the M&S bakery is far better, fresher and cheaper.Read more
I am French , meaning quite picky regarding bread specially French bread and I can say that Eric Kayser bread is one of the best in town and the best in Happy Valley. I use to buy as well the sandwiches , specially the Monges my favourite , French cooked ham , emmental cheese and butter it's a must to try. Even , they have a nice and affordable breakfast / brunch , we like going there on Saturday chilling out I highly recommend them.Read more
