Friendly and attentive staff, great choice of foods as well! I just wish the place was a bit more bright and festive during Christmas. Overall, good experience! More
Petals is the all-day dining restaurant at the Rose Rayhaan By Rotana on Sheikh Zayed Road. Located on the first floor of the hotel, its simple, well-appointed interior is where we came to have breakfast (having not been allowed into the executive lounge because I was in shorts – really?). At AED85 per person, the Petals breakfast buffet is basic in comparison with some of the OOT buffets in Dubai but at least it has a live egg station, be it an understandably busy one. In addition to the international breakfast cliché – sausages, beans, mushrooms, hash browns, etc. the Petals buffet has an Indian section with fresh mini-idlis, parathas and potato bhaji. The masala omelette I ordered took an age to arrive and for some reason included cheese – hello? I shouldn’t crib, the poor chef was overwhelmed with requests yet was singlehandedly trying to please everyone. Thank you, chef (see picture). Service is attentive and accommodating rather than friendly but that may be because we were there during the breakfast peak! All in all, if you have breakfast included in your hotel package, fine. But if you are budgeting AED85 for breakfast, there are many, many better options available on the Sheik Zayed strip. Hey! Now read this – Xerxes physically dines at, or orders from, each and every venue he reviews. He pays in full for whatever he and his companions eat, drink, take away or occasionally throw at each other. Xerxes accepts no money, gifts, discounts or free meals in return for reviews or favouritism. What you have read was NOT influenced in any way by the venue.More
Rose Rayhaan by Rotana at Sheikh Zayed Road is the fourth tallest hotel building in the world. It is an iconic building just few minutes away from Burj Khalifa. The building has a front view of the busy Sheikh Zayed Road that looks spectacular at night. The Petals Restaurant is on the first floor of the hotel. The restaurant is quite spacious as it covers the full space on that floor. The seating arrangement was well designed to make each guest comfortable. The overall ambiance was very relaxing. The service was outclass and top-notch. The staff was going out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable and well taken care of. I visited in the month of Ramadan for Iftar. There are many Iftar buffets in Dubai but very few focus on quality rather than quantity. Petals restaurant was one of those places because they had limited options as compared to other restaurants but each and every dish was made to perfection. There were all the right dishes for Iftar and Chef’s hard work was visible. In my opinion, people in such buffets are able to fully enjoy and taste all items on the menu. There were separate lavish counters for desserts, salads and juices. Some of the dishes I really liked were Chilli prawns, potato granite, pasta with creamy sauce and mixed grill. The dessert corner was an absolute treat. I really enjoyed Arabic sweets, assorted mousse, and cheese Kunafa but umm ali was the definite winner, it had perfect amount of sweetness and was very satisfying to taste buds. The best part is petals restaurant is also available on entertainer and cobone. I had an amazing time at the buffet & I would recommend everyone to give it a try.More
Arrived there on Iftar during the 2nd weekend of Ramadan. The staff welcomed us cheerfully and seated us on a nice view of Sheikh Zayed road. The buffet had a variety of middle eastern food from grilled food, fish, pastries and tasty kung pao chicken. Also the salad buffet had a fantastic quality along with the dessert. Umm Ali was perfectly made and the kunafa with cheese also tasted amazing. Qamar Al Deen was also nice. It's a great value for money. Overall, we had a nice time during our iftar.More
Approachable staff. Food taste is great but not many dessert selections. Overall experience is good. Thanks to Petals team for accommodating us.More
