My family and I attended the Poolside Christmas Brunch on Dec 25th and sad to say we were really disappointed. Being an open brunch the place was filled with flies and birds sitting around on the food. And disappointed to say the staff around the food was the least interested in keeping the flies or birds away. The pizzas and burgers were really cold and tasted stale. And with all the unhygienic conditions around with the food we were not at all hungry. Besides this ... the brunch was advertised as a Christmas Brunch.. but there was nothing Christmas about this. Besides the few Christmas deco around and short visit from Santa there was nothing Christmassy about the brunch. The music playing was not at all family friendly and not a single Christmas song played. Sad to say it was a bad idea to book this place... really a let down on such an auspicious day. I can’t praise the rest of the hotel enough. It’s been amazing throughout our stay. However, the one thing that lets this wonderful hotel down is the dreadful service at the seating area at the pool. Almost half an hour sat waiting in 35degC heat with two children before anyone even acknowledged our existence. Other guests were giving up on getting served and going straight to the bar. It seems there are nowhere near enough staff for a pool of this size. Read more
