Another night out at a neighborhood restaurant, Prato at Damac Hills. Usually we enjoy the evenings at 71 Sports bar but for a gathering - we decided to sit at Prato.
Live saxophone performance on a Sunday evening, music was too loud to hear each other and we decided to move inside. The starter platter of Focaccia, olives, olive oil & garlic butter was a great launch, followed by our selection, Beef Roast and Lasagna for my wife.
Beef roast was bland, dry and I really would not have it again. The accompaniments though, was nicely finished, Broccoli and Brussel sprouts had a lovely cooking temperature, Cauliflower with sour cream tasted really well, roasted potatoes and scones were on point. Lasagna was not the best, but can not say that it was bad - it was just OK.
However - in a such location, you would expect a different level of quality and higher standards when it comes to the plates. The fact is - after our dining with our friends, there would not be second time for a dine-in at Prato.
