Prato

Another night out at a neighborhood restaurant, Prato at Damac Hills. Usually we enjoy the evenings at 71 Sports bar but for a gathering - we decided to sit at Prato. Live saxophone performance on a Sunday evening, music was too loud to hear each other and we decided to move inside. The starter platter of Focaccia, olives, olive oil & garlic butter was a great launch, followed by our selection, Beef Roast and Lasagna for my wife. Beef roast was bland, dry and I really would not have it again. The accompaniments though, was nicely finished, Broccoli and Brussel sprouts had a lovely cooking temperature, Cauliflower with sour cream tasted really well, roasted potatoes and scones were on point. Lasagna was not the best, but can not say that it was bad - it was just OK. However - in a such location, you would expect a different level of quality and higher standards when it comes to the plates. The fact is - after our dining with our friends, there would not be second time for a dine-in at Prato.

I love this restaurant. You have amazing views of the Golf when sitting outside. You can enjoy a good coffee and Sweets. The staff is great specialty Ms Janna . Thanks for a wonderful times experience.

3.5 complementary bread not fresh. Food is average. They serve good portion but not warm. Just disappointed the only plus factor is they serve happy hour.

My recent visit to this restaurant was quite disappointing. We dined with our kids, and the issues began with their orders – their pancakes were served after some of the adults had already received their food. Furthermore, one of our ordered meals was unavailable, which we were informed of 20 minutes after placing our order. This led to a necessary change in the order, and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the food to finally arrive. Considering it was breakfast, and we ordered dishes like poached eggs and avocado bread, these wait times were highly frustrating. To make matters worse, some of the food even arrived 20 minutes after the first person had already finished their meal. Despite the overall disappointing experience, I must commend the manager for understanding our frustration, apologizing, and not charging us for the inconvenience. It was a well-handled situation by the manager. I genuinely hope that this venue can improve its service, as it has great potential, and I wish them all the best in the future.

The location is amazing, directly at the golf course. The food and lemonades were really good, this was the best lasagna in a long time! The staff should be smiling a little more, it’s a figurehead from a restaurant so it’s very important to me that everyone’s nice and has a good time.
