We decided to try the food again at lunch time that day (December 21). We came back to the hotel and looked at the various restaurant menus online before deciding to try Sidra for lunch. Sidra seemingly had great vegetarian sandwich options. We were quite surprised when after sitting down, we were handed a pre-fixe menu with very limited options; that we had never seen before. The menu could not have been more disappointing. My husband, is a pescatarian and tries to eat vegetarian as much as possible. I have a shellfish allergy and try to eat primarily pescatarian and vegetarian with some limited poultry. These dietary restrictions made it so that my husband’s only option was pasta and mine was chicken with mashed potatoes. We did not travel around the world to eat mashed potatoes. We were also informed that since we were on the full meal plan, our only beverage option was water. This was a complete contradiction to what the LLVC representatives and the Hilton Habtoor Palace front desk had outlined. After reviewing the menu and considering our experience at breakfast, we requested the actual menu for Sidra informing the waitress that we would like to order from that menu and simply pay. She seemed incredibly confused and was hesitant to let us see the actual menu. We continued to insist that we would be happy to pay and that we just wanted to see the normal menu, she complied and gave us the regular menu. We ordered falafel wraps and an iced tea and paid at the end of our meal. Once again, the quality of food left much to be desired. This was not the quality of a restaurant in a five star hotel.More
Lovely and ambiant place to have some coffee and snacks. Additionally, had a great customer service experience with Emmy and Viola. Would highly recommend if you are here in Dubai looking for places to chill with family and friends.More
We absolutely loved the afternoon tea here. Amazing service and excellent food. The surroundings are really comfortable and plush! Best of all, it's on the Entertainer so it was only 165 for two!More
Visited this stunning hotel while waiting for our la perle show. We arrived in the hotel 1hour before the show starts, so me and my husband decided to roam around the hotel. All of the staff are welcoming. Special mention to the Filipina lady in Sidra Lovelly, the honey cake she offered and the coffee was absolutely perfect, even though we sat down in the lobby she was ready to serve and assist us with all our questions about the show. Thanking her for the great experience and for the La perle show was spectacular indeed.More
Ambiance at Sidra is just really stunning. From the amazing interior design of the palace complimented by the piano in the background. But what's really above and beyond are the staff that welcomed us when we entered Habtoor Palace. We were welcomed first by Awatef, who guided us to our table and adviced us their best tea. Joyce, another staff, explained perfectly the afternoon tea set and cleared our confusion during the menu selection. Once we ordered our set of drinks and food, Emi, did a great job at explaining in detail each of the pastries, meat, and seafood that arrived at our table. Although, they almost forgot our cafe latte, Sumika, another staff from Sidra, took action and delivered the cafe latte at our table which was great. As a first experience in Afternoon Tea, i was lost at the selection of teas they have because they have so much to offer. I thank all the staff at gekping us out and advicing some of their signature teas here at Sidra. Would definetely recommend this place for people who would want to experience an Afternoon Tea. And for the people who already loves Tea and some light snack in the afternoon with a beautiful view and accomodating staff.More
