A little jewel in Paarl where the service is warm and friendly and you can hand feed the alpacas. It makes for a great family outing with small children and the parents can have good cappachino while the kids play.Read more
This place was such a great find! I have been there twice over Dec/Jan with different groups of kids and they all loved it. Once to do the tour... which was really great for adults and kids a little older...a bit boring for a 4 year old... and once just to hang out in the petting zoo (for free!!!). There are lots of friendly alpacas to feed and stroke and just generally spend time with. They also have a couple of camels... less of the stroking! Highly recommended for both adults and kids. There's Alpacas, camels, horses... My kids loved feeding and photographing the alpacas. We stayed here for sometime. The cafe has good coffee and bready type offerings. The staff is very nice and helpful. There are some nice things for sale in the shop. The bathrooms were clean. Glad we stopped here.Read more
We didn’t have anything to eat or drink, or pay for a tour - we didn’t need to! Just watching the kids happily feeding the alpacas from little buckets was enough, and plenty of leisurely minutes watching the alpacas themselves - such characters! Adorable faces and comical top knots! The loom products available to purchase are stunning and top quality. I treated myself to a beautiful scarf for a very acceptable price.Read more
We did the alpaca barn tour at 1100. It was most informative and fun. We fed the alpacas and saw the babies. We learned about the shearing, breeding, and weaving. The newly opened coffee shop and gift shop is a great asset. I think the first tour of the day may be the busiest as we had a lot of people on ours. ( maybe 25 or 30 ) A smaller group would be better. The farm is in a beautiful setting with lovely views. Fairview Vineyard with it's goats is just a short distance away. Read more
