waved coffee is a place with a mission: they want to let customers try their tech-optimised coffee that is made with electromagnetic waves. after infusing electromagnetic waves into all of their beverages, the water molecules get more 'excited' and generate anti-oxidising and metabolic energy. the oxidation process is also slowed down, and is also why their cold-pressed juices can last up to 2 weeks, and their coffee tastes better longer.
the coffee made with the electromagnetised water tasted smoother, and the bitterness and sourness normally associated with coffee was reduced. it's sweeter as the magnesium already present in the water interacts with the coffee! they also try to remove some of the carbon dioxide to reduce the acidity. this place also has a water tap of their electromagnetised water if you're interested in trying they don't have a wide selection of in-house pastries, but the ham and egg danish i got was a good snack and tasted great.
i wasn't planning on staying for long, but their "50% off all pastries for August" promo on their ig page piqued my interest, so i just decided to chill there. correena and jack are the lovely baristas helming the shop- they took the time to explain to me what set their coffee apart, and included me in their conversations warmly. they also let me sample their "SNAP" juice, which i found pretty decent- it had a strong ginger flavour but wasn't overwhelming. i heard that they're looking to expand into the business and consumer production side for their water, which is pretty cool!
the level of thoughtfulness in the shop surprised me- their ice cubes are also made from the water infused with electromagnetic waves, so it doesn't dilute the taste of your drink with normal tap water. i'm def gna pop by whenever i'm in the area! this is their only outlet.
