I stopped by to see what all the hype about this place was about. As I like draft beer of all kinds I ordered a speciality dark draft beer at the pub. It was too early for a meal so I did not order anything to eat. The beer was awesome and the service matched. I will like to stop by again when I am in the area.Read more
N3 was partially blocked southbound so did a detour on the midlands meander and stopped for lunch at Bierfassl. Had a tiddly toad lager and a half ortion of cheese filled sausage with rosti and veg. Delicious. Think they should make an effort to cut the grass though beacuse it not very pleasant to sit outside in ankle deep grass. Will be back though next time am in the area.Read more
We arrived to have supper and was told to take a seat at the bar. There wasn't a table available. The bar lady advised that the starter of Welsh rabbit on chips was a winner. As we ordered an eisbeins and it would take 45 mins we opted for a half portion of Welsh rabbit to share. The portion was enough for both of us. We had to take most of our 800gm eisbeins home. We also bought homemade mustard from the Deli which was a winner for leftover the next night. Ladies eisbein 500gms. I am sure the 1Kg and 2 Kg eisbeins must be huge. An excellent meal and evening. I always stop at Bierfassl when traveling thru the Midlands. I enjoy the variety of mustard they give you complimentary! The food is excellent. However, the lunch menu is only available after 12. This is a real pity, because people come here for traditional Austrian food, regardless of the time of day! They can go elsewhere for omelettes and toast. Please make the proper food menu available at all times! (Love the ginger bread man cookies with the coffee. Nice touch!)Read more
Good Austrian / German pub cuisine. Not vegan friendly at all. Vegetarian meal was horrible although they did offer to replace it. The restaurant is filthy though and fly infested all the way through to the bathrooms.Read more
