We had seafood paella, rib steak, and ajillo. It was delicious. It was too salty for me, so I think it could be a little less salty. The salty air may make you want to drink a lot of alcohol. I was seated on the terrace, where the night breeze felt nice, but I could hear songs from the surrounding restaurants, and it was a bit noisy at times. The staff were kind and helpful.

The westin hotel is one of my favorite hotel in Dubai. El sur have a good ambience, a family friendly restaurant. However, the service was bad. The staffs are robotic, not informative. It wasn’t what I expect from 5 star hotel. I asked if they had a happy hour menu, a staff said Yes but didn’t bring me one until I requested for it. ( I guess happy hour menu is on request?!) And I have a dietary issue so I asked a waiter if they could exclude a certain ingrediant from my dish. The waiter responded No without even talking to the Chef. I had to call the Chef, the issue was solved in 3 sec. Their staffs need to be trained better. I can’t complain about their food though. I had the best Andalusian olive there. They’ve got a good variety of Tapas menu. The seafood paella was tasty and savory. It’s for 2 to share.

Not bad overall. A small detail, sometimes when we try too much we fail to preserve authenticity and we loose the essence

The best Spanish restaurant in Dubai. New chef has changed quality of food. The purpose to go here was to eat iberian ham, but now to enjoy other dishes as well. The reason of 4 stars is draft beer quality. The taste of draft beer was bit sour which is already not flesh.
