The restaurant is already from the appearance something different. The modern interior and the green/yellow color, make the restaurant look very modern. Both the food and the cocktails were fantastic and well matched. The service was friendly and always open for a little conversation. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Dubai!More
We ate here last September when we stayed at the Grosvenor and we really enjoyed it. This year a bit disappointed, first of all the cocktail tasted like it had no alcohol in it. Next was prawn cocktail, very meagre with tiny prawns and loads of lettuce. Main course I enjoyed, chicken and spaghetti which was tasty. However the desert was supposed to be Eton Mess and it was just a scoop of ice cream, some cream and a whole little meringue on the top ?? Not like the Eton Mess I’ve ever had. It was so lovely sitting outside but the meal was nothing special.More
Spent my last evening in Dubai here and it was 10/10. Our sever Maya was amazing, so polite and helpful & th3 staff also brought me over a little birthday cake , and sang happy birthday as I was having belated birthday celebrations!! The food was amazing we got the braised beef , baked cod & Mac and cheese - would highly recommend them all!! Again, thank you to Mayan , Rhazan and the time for their amazing hospitality! I will be back. ☺️☺️More
Not quite what we expected, mainly as there was nobody else there at 7.15 pm. I guess that may be early for some. The result was no atmosphere. More staff than guests ( two of us). The food was decent, a bit like pub food. Certainly not fine dining. Buy tasty nonetheless. Enjoyed it but probably don't need to rush back.More
The name Gary Rhodes carries some weight and so, unable to get a booking in the Rhodes restaurant in our hotel (Le Royal Meridien) we booked in here. It's part of the same chain and reservations were easily made for us. We sat outside overlooking the marina, which was lovely. The service was also delightful. However, for the rest of the experience, I'm left wondering where all the glowing reviews come from. We had several attempts at ordering a cocktail. These finally arrived after the starters, despite requests to have aperitifs first. We also had multiple attempts at ordering a bottle of wine, but pretty much all the wines on the wine list were unavailable. In the end, someone who knew what stock there was arrived and pointed to what was actually available. Very little, it turns out. There is no point in having an extensive list of wines if none of them are available. For the main course there was a selection of roasts on offer; we each chose a different one. From the taste of things, there is some sort of carvery in the kitchen where food sits for extremely long periods of time under heat lamps and bits are cut off as needed. The meats were both far from tender and fairly tasteless, and the vegetables overcooked. It's dressed up Toby Carvery stuff, and not what I was expecting. So, not somewhere to which I need to return.More
