Shocking to not be given a proper table even though we had reserved in advance. We were forced to accept bar stools. The staff needs to inform customers clearly at time of booking if they are going to be provided a table or not. Totally unacceptable for this level of restaurant. Food was good and well presented. 2 star for terrible phone booking. 4 star for the food.More
We were a party of 6 and got to the restaurant at the designated time. The food was average (no complaints but no “wow” factor), the ambience was very good and it was very busy. However, the service was extremely slow. The servers were all very nice and very friendly but we really had to struggle to get their attention. The restaurant is seriously understaffed. We were waiting for over 20 minutes before we could get somebody to take our orders. Once the orders were placed, the foods came at regular intervals but if you needed something else in between, good luck trying to get somebody to take notice of you Won’t be going back.More
This is a family favourite and we go there about 3-5 times per month on average. Lobster night on Wednesdays is great value and the kids meals are tasty. The chicken roast is another favourite and the portion of chicken is impressive. I haven't had a meal here that I didn't like yet and the house wines are very good. Staff are very friendly and highly competent. A must if you are visiting Kennedy Town.More
I was attracted by the name Shoreditch because Shoreditch is a hip town in East London where everything is happening. At Shoreditch, they serve British fare with a modern twist. The only frustrating thing is that the menu on their website does not work and if you message them on FB for the menu, you don't get a reply hence the average rating. Anyway, as I I already had dinner before so I went for a soup and dessert but next time I am coming back for STEAK. For desserts I was going to order two but the treacle tart was sold out.More
From the price, you might think they’d be of varying/negligible quality...nope! Some of the best oysters I’ve ever had and so cheap. Lovely bar setting too with very friendly service. Will definitely be back!More
