Had afternoon tea bought for me as a bday present, read reviews before hand and tbh they weren’t all good, so went with an open mind, and had a lovely time, the food the nice ,and was in the vaulted room which nice and cool as it was a hot day , had a tour of house which was a lovely experience and very informative by the guide Paul and worth the extra costMore
Lovely extensive grounds. You can also visit the historic and rather grand stables. Tour guide Paul, who takes you round the house, is superb. His knowledge is outstanding. Afternoon tea was good value but could do with a few tweaks. Rather thin poor jam for example. Overall a good day and everyone worked very hard.More
We went today and paid to walk around the grounds which are absolutely beautiful. There is a lot to see if you love gardens, trees and nature. There is a lovely summer house thankfully cool and shaded, and the little sitting area over the river is gorgeous. However the tearoom is rather disappointing. The staff are ok, a member of staff pushed two tables together to accommodate us (group of four), although we hadn’t realised that people tend to book. We had toasted tea cakes and a cream tea. The jam was obviously very cheap, thick and sticky and had been decanted from a larger jar. The plants and flowers are all plastic and old and tired looking. None of these things are a big problem but it was quite pricey for something that was just ok, and should have been really lovely in a setting as beautiful as Stoneleigh.More

We used Groupon vouchers to take our Australian visiting family for afternoon tea in the Orangery. The weather was superb and crowned the beautiful setting and a delicious afternoon tea. The staff were lovely. Especially of note was the guy who greeted us and informed us with the magic of the House. I would love to go back and tour the house as the photos look great.I have bought more vouchers as birthday presents for friends!More
